it was possibly brave, possibly foolhardy, but I did it. I nuked my twitter account, built slowly over maybe 10, maybe longer, years.
turns out it wasn’t the platform, it was the friends we made along the way. I literally wouldn’t be here without them.
I’m going to try and use this more as my own outlet, instead of providing content for some tech billionnaire. I have more qualifications than the melon made up.
Am finding it hard to leave the old media but mostly post to Mastodon now. I hadn’t realised how “needy” that platform was with the notifications and emails, constantly trying to get you to engage. Where as I find I engage on other platforms, just because there is something interesting.
